Bebe Rexha Hits Back At 'Messed Up' Tweets Claiming She Died

Bebe Rexha has been hit with the celebrity death hoax rumor — and she's not pleased.

On Tuesday (February 2), the pop star, 31, responded to a string of tweets and a trending topic, claiming that she had passed away. "Jeez I stay offline for three days and not only am I dead but I died of a drug overdose?!?!" she tweeted, before sharing a search of her name on the social media platform to find out that the third result read: "Bebe Rexha died."

"I'm a ghost. I’m tweeting from your bedroom closet. Boo bitch," she joked in an audio file of her rapping the line..

Rexha pushed through with the truth in responding to the debacle, particularly when a fan shared a tweet with Rexha, where a fake tweet saw CNN confirm the news. "Omg God forbid what the hell," she wrote. "That’s messed up ... God forbid."

After the hoax went viral, Rexha hopped back on social media by sharing footage of her playing Britney Spears' self-titled album on vinyl and showing off her new manicure.
