Justin Moore Wants An Explanation For The Viral Bernie Mittens Memes

There is something special about those wooly mittens that Bernie Sanders wore during the presidential inauguration, which triggered endless social entertainment.

While Cody Alan and Justin Moore have genuinely enjoyed the onslaught of laughter brought on the memes, gifs, and videos, they are both left dumbfounded on why this went viral. 

In a recent interview, the duo tried to unravel the truth. 

“It’s how I spend most of my day now, just sitting here looking at Bernie Sanders in mittens memes,” laughs the radio host. “How did this become a “thing?” Like, when is the last time you wore mittens?” 

“The only opportunity that I have had to wear them is when we go skiing,” says Justin. “My friend and I who ski together, he wears mittens, and I wear gloves.” 

“So, we actually had a long conversation comparing the two like, “Should I wear mittens next time?” You know, he was explaining in great detail what he loved,” laughs the “Why We Drink” singer. “You would have had to be there, but it was hilarious. That was the only conversation that I have ever had about mittens in my entire life.”
