Dietary preference ranks high when it comes to singles across America, as per plant-based food brand, Sweet Earth Foods, and their recent survey, but the differences in eating are something that can be easily navigated.

On Tuesday (February 2), Sweet Earth Food announced that it has teamed up with Netflix's Outer Banks star Chase Stokes to debunk the challenges in dating someone who eats differently. In the week leading up to Valentine’s Day, the brand will host a virtual Q&A event called the "Veggie Lovers Virtual Dating Event," which will see Stokes and OkCupid Dating Expert Damona Hoffman talk about what it means to date a vegan in 2021, while simultaneously exploring a plant-band relationship. Stokes is dating his co-star Madelyn Cline, who happens to be vegan.

"Finding someone to date can be tough enough without having the dreaded 'what to eat for dinner' question get in the way of a potential match," Chase, who is currently filming the second season of the Netflix series, said in a statement. "When Maddie and I started dating, I didn't have any ambitions to adopt a plant-based diet, but I really started liking the food when I tried Sweet Earth® products and realized there's a ton of variety available if you want to eat less meat."

As someone that considers himself a flexitarian, one that has a primarily vegetarian diet but occasionally eats meat or fish, Stokes will speak on what it means to date a vegan while being a meat eater himself. If you want in on the Zoom invite, fans can sign up for the virtual Q&A and enter for the chance to join an exclusive and private speed dating event after the webcast.
