Disney is shutting down the animation studio behind the Ice Age franchise.
- Blue Sky Studios was one of the acquisitions made by Disney when it merged with 20th Century Fox in 2019.
- More recently it produced the films Rio, Ferdinand, and The Peanuts Movie.
- Disney already owns two massively successful animation studios with Pixar and Walt Disney Animation. The move will also cease production on Blue Sky's final production, Nimona.
- What are some of your favorite animated movies of the last 10 years? Will Disney ever make more Ice Age movies?
