Back in August, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, into the world. Daisy is Perry's first child, however, it's Bloom's second time becoming a parent. While chatting with Jimmy Kimmel on Monday (February 8), Perry revealed she initially resisted taking advice from her fiancé from his first child's birth. Bloom shares 10-year-old son Flynn Bloom with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

"It's the best decision I've ever made in my entire life," Perry told Kimmel of becoming a parent. "I have family and support, and I've got an incredible fiancé who has done this before—he has a 10-year-old son."

Though Perry, Bloom, and Kerr are all friendly with each other, Perry tried to avoid taking pointers from the former couple about parenting. In the end, Perry ended up listening to their words of wisdom. "As much as I was a little bit like, 'I don't need to hear all those stories,' they actually helped," she admitted. "They're like, 'Oh, you've had a run at this. You know how to do this.'"

Perry had nothing but kind words to say about Bloom during the interview. The pop star gushed that he's "been amazing, incredible, and we're so in love and we're so grateful." She went on to say that Bloom was "such a great support" during her delivery. "We had, like, a little boombox. He was there, and he was so wonderful and just holding my hands and looking into my eyes," she shared.
