A Texas beef company gave away $25,000-worth of Brady's semen.
Yes, you read that right.
It was part of a Super Bowl promotion held by HeartBrand ranch. Since quarterback Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory on Sunday, HeartBrand won't charge ranchers who brought semen from Brady, a bull named after the player.
This Brady is a 7-year-old Akaushi bull, the breed of cattle that produces wagyu steaks. While human Brady is a lean football throwing machine, bull Brady is known for his fatty beef.
"He has the ability to pass that marbling, which is intramuscular fat — which creates great tasting steaks — on to his offspring. So just as Tom Brady is able to throw winning passes and win games, our Brady is able to pass on his marbling and his great beef eating experience on to his offspring," Jordan Beeman, president of HeartBrand, told the San Antonio Express News.
HeartBrand customers who purchased five units of Brady semen at $55 apiece won't have to pay a thing, and the company says it sold about $25,000 worth.
The company also hopes to buy back bull Brady's offsprings so they can be sold for beef, and Brady is one of their top producing bulls.
