Looking For A Valentine's Day Gift? Here's The Most-Searched Gift In Ohio

Sometimes it can be difficult to pinpoint the perfect gift.

Valentine’s Day will be here soon, and for those still looking for the perfect gift, a discount-driven site aims to help.

CouponLawn.com analyzed Google Trends to determine the most-frequently-Googled Valentine’s Day gift in each state and Washington D.C.

Staff used Google Trends from 2004 to 2020 — including “gifts for her” and “gifts for him,” the latter of which is searched twice as often — and shared their findings.

“Because of human procrastinating nature, most resolve for last-minute ideas from the internet. While some search for romantic getaways, others opt for tandem bicycle gifts, couples massage, and many other interesting options,” CouponLawn noted. “Thankfully, internet providers have highlighted some of the top Valentine’s Day searches from different states.”

So, what do most Ohioans want for Valentine’s Day?

Chocolate.

And they’re not alone.

CouponLawn found that the most frequently-searched gift in a dozen states — including Ohio — was chocolate, box of chocolates or chocolate-covered strawberries.

Other states also opted for classic gifts, including flowers, a gift card and a romantic getaway.

But some looked for more unique gifts, like couples tattoos, a weighted blanket, a tandem bicycle and even a new puppy.
