Derrick Moore, best known for his friendly shouts of "Lemonade, lemonade, like grandma made," at sporting events, including Arizona Diamondbacks games, is facing some unknown medical issues.

Moore was voted the top vendor in the MLB in 2015.

Moore's wife, Renita Sanders-Moore, told AZ Family, "It's really hard. You know he was paying for his own medical insurance before COVID, you know. But after that we couldn't afford that private insurance anymore."

According to Sanders-Moore, her husband has become increasingly disoriented over the past few week. On two occasions, they had to call paramedics because Derrick was sweating and panting uncontrollably. She said, "It seems to be a neurological problem."

Sanders-Moore explained that they are unsure of how they will pay for all of the medical bills or for a diagnosis since the couple no longer has insurance.

Since the pandemic hit, the lemonade vendor has been out of work since fans were forced out of stadiums. Sanders-Moore said, "He's a working man. And I know this is devastating to him because that's his passion."

Because of all of his hard work, he was even able to put his wife through college. "He followed my dreams and what I wanted to do," Sanders-Moore said.

Sanders-Moore says she has a lot of faith that her husband will be able to pull through this. She hopes that a diagnosis will be made and that Derrick can return to his work. "I need my lemonade man back."

There has been a GoFundMe created to help the family with medical expenses. Click here to donate.
