Starting Thursday, Smith's will be giving out free COVID-19 vaccinations to eligible Utah residents. The store received a limited supply of the Moderna vaccine.
Appointments for the vaccine will be available for residents over the age of 70.
The food and drug chain announced that individuals over the age of 70 will be able to make an appointment online. They can then come into the pharmacy to get their shots.
Once an individual has received the vaccination, they will have to wait 10 to 15 minutes to make sure that there are no adverse reactions to the shot before they can leave.
The shots will be absolutely free to those eligible.
Smith's said that they are doing their best to get the shots into more rural areas as well as underserved communities in larger metro locations. They hope to eventually have the vaccine available at all of their pharmacy locations.
Any residents that wish to check the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine, to check their eligibility, or to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine can visit Smith's website by clicking here.
