The coronavirus pandemic has shifted some people's priorities for where they want to live. For some, less commute and more availability for remote work are just some of those factors.

If you're looking to rent an apartment in Washington, some experts are saying a Puget Sound suburb may be the place for you, according to KING 5.

Apartment locator RENTCafé crunched the numbers and found that Lynnwood in Snohomish County has the most new apartments in the Evergreen State. The area saw 1,000 new units listed since 2016 and more under construction.

“Ultimately, why you’re seeing it in these other areas, is because the demand is here," Jon Bye, a Seattle realtor with John L. Scott, told reporters. "That’s really what it boils down to: supply and demand. I think you’re going to get a better value, a little more square footage, a couple more parking spots."

A home office is looking more attractive for certain workers, so upping the square footage of an apartment seems like a good option. If you factor in affordability and parking, too, "The small things that go a long way for people," according to Bye.
