slowthai's sophomore album has arrived.

On Friday (February 12), the UK rapper dropped TYRON, a project slowthai admittedly created during a difficult time in his life.

The 14-track LP, which is divided into two "discs," is a follow-up to his 2019 album Nothing Great About Britain. TYRON features a number of heavy-hitters including A$AP Rocky, Skepta, Denzel Curry, Deb Never, Dominic Fike, James Blake, and Mount Kimbie.

Back in November, slowthai told his fans the LP is a reflection of his growth, writing on Instagram, "I am far from perfect but i’ve learnt a lot about myself whilst creating this album and i will continue to grow into a better person for myself and aim to be a reflection of what i want to see in this world." He added, "i hope this album can be the light if you're in the dark, and to know you're not alone. it’s okay to be yourself, f**k everything else. learn, grow, aim to be better than you were yesterday."

TYRON comes days after the release of slowthai's gory horror-inspired visual for his Skepta collab, “Cancelled.” In a recent interview, Slowthai spoke about creating the track while on shrooms.

"I was at a studio playing tunes, I linked a couple of my boys… Yeah, we were on shrooms. It's like, you've got to refresh the mind sometimes. It gives you an insight into yourself," he recalled.

The "feel away" rapper additionally spoke about Skepta helping him come out of a "negative space" while they were in the studio working on "Cancelled."

"Skep, he could see that I was going through it," slowthai shared. "He's got a song called 'Going through it' that helped me. But he's like, 'Yo man, this is your defining moment.'"

The 26-year-old rapper went on to call Skepta his "big bro," describing him as "a larger-than-life character."

"He's the best," slowthai shared.
