Rolling Power Outages Happening Across Texas Due To Winter Storm
February 15, 2021
Are you without power?
As the extreme cold weather & record breaking snow hits Texas... rolling power outages are now the new challenge as residents brave the winter storm & extreme cold..
Texas’ electrical grid operator ordered the power outages because there was too much demand for electricity in the record cold. The ordered outages began around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.
So what does this mean?
Power providers are intentionally cutting off power to select neighborhoods due to power demand. The outages were said to only be for only 15 to 45-minutes.... however it's being reported that many people across Texas are saying the outages are lasting much longer. Some have been without power since before 3am.
