A Phoenix woman said that three men broke her finger while trying to steal her car, reported AZ Family.
Jennifer Walker said the incident has left her in fear. She said, "I'm a little scared. Not a little, a lot scared because I don't know if they're going to come back."
It happened around 5 p.m. outside of her apartment near 17th Avenue and Missouri Avenue.
Walker said that she was carrying her groceries up to her apartment when the guys took the keys right out of her hand. She said, "Also broke my finger from them stealing the keys out of my hand."
The Phoenix Police Department reported that the men started to take her car. Walker stopped them. "I chased after them. It was anger, and then afterwards, it's well, that was stupid," she said.
Police said that the men ran away and took Walker's keys with them.
Walker said that this has forced her to make some changes. She said, "I had the locks changed on my apartment. I can't afford the ignition lock on my car, but my boyfriend walks me to and from my car when I leave and come home."

Walker is left with feelings of unease, and worries the men will return. "I'm afraid to be in the neighborhood by myself. I'm afraid to walk to and from my car by myself."
The incident is still under investigation.
Walker says that she will need surgery on her hand, but knows the situation could have been worse.
