Two burglary suspects left an easy trail for Washington authorities to find them over the weekend in Tacoma, according to KIRO 7.
Pierce County Sheriff's deputies were called just before 2:40 a.m. Saturday (February 13) to a home in the 3400 block of 72nd Street East. When an official arrived at the scene, he reportedly saw two men running. He checked the house first before chasing after them to see if a crime has been committed, officials said. Deputies said a detached garage had a broken window on a door.
Authorities deployed a K-9 and followed the footprints left behind in the snow, the sheriff's department wrote on Facebook.

One set of footprints led to a church parking lot, where a man was found hiding in a dumpster under a piece of cardboard, deputies said. The second set led deputies to a tree, and they called for the second man to climb down, officials added.
Both suspects were taken into custody on charges of second-degree burglary and obstructing an officer. The man found in the dumpster was also booked for unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
