Here's your latest dangerous, idiotic social media trend. Can't people just go back to the classics like eating Tide Pods?

The newest trend on TikTok is covering your face in hot wax, and then peeling it off as one giant, colorful mask.

It sounds painful, and it probably is . . . but that's not the only problem. The skin on your face is sensitive, so you could cause some real problems by doing this.

One dermatologist in the U.K. says, quote, "Waxing is a traumatic process for the skin, especially sensitive areas around the eyes . . . those can become inflamed and irritated, and tiny pimples or pus-filled bumps could develop as a result."
