Showtime's upcoming series starring Jeff Daniels will resume filming in Pittsburgh and will be in need of paid extras in the area.
Movie Extras Pittsburgh is looking for Pittsburgh residents to work as paid background extras during filming of the upcoming series, 'Rust,' which will begin in mid-March and end in late August, WPXI reports.
The series will center around Daniels' character, Del Harris, a chief of police in a small Rust Belt town in southwestern Pennsylvania, according to a casting call on the Movie Extras Pittsburgh website.
"In a small Rust Belt town in southwest Pennsylvania, Chief of Police Del Harris is forced to decide how far he's willing to go for the woman he loves after her son is accused of an ex-cop's murder," the casting call states.
According to the casting call, the series is looking for paid extras to play "small town locals, cops, restaurant patrons, business and blue collar types, high school/college football players, bar patrons, wedding guests, shoppers, pedestrians with cars & more fictional characters of all types" which includes "kids, teens, adults and senior citizens of all ethnicities."
All interested participants will need to follow all CDC guidelines and testing protocols to be eligible to work amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with more details to come in the future.
