American Airlines Jet Heading To AZ Saw Possible UFO, Says 'Talk To FBI'

An American Airlines passenger jet heading to Phoenix from Cincinnati had an out of this world experience on Sunday afternoon. Fox 10 Phoenix reported that the pilot saw what was an apparent UFO over northeast New Mexico.

According to a transmission recorded by Steve Douglass on his blog, Deep Black Horizon, the pilot of flight 2292 radioed in at around 1:00 p.m. CST and said that some unidentified flying object was flying right over the jet.

Fox News verified that the transmission is indeed from flight 2292, and American Airlines confirmed that it is authentic.

The pilot in the radio transmission can be heard saying, "Do you have any targets up here? We just had something fo right over the top of us."

The pilot then described what it looked like, "I hate to say this but it looked like a long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile type of thing moving really fast. It went right over the top of us."

An American Airlines spokesperson released a statement to Fox News that stated, "Following a debrief with out Flight Crew and additional information received, we can confirm this radio transmission was from American Airlines Flight 2292 on Feb. 21. For any additional questions on this, we encourage you to reach out to the FBI."

The FBI did not immediately respond when asked for comment.
