Law enforcement officials arrested a rapper in connection with a shooting on a music video set in Atlanta last month.
The video was reportedly for hip hop artists 42 Dugg and Roddy Ricch. Three people were hurt in the incident — including two by gunfire and one by debris — and received treatment at a local hospital. Neither artist was hurt in the shooting.
The incident happened on the Wells Street music video set in Atlanta shortly after 4 p.m. on February 21.
Although one man was arrested later that day for possessing an illegal narcotic, authorities still sought the shooting suspect.
That suspect is another rapper: LeParis Dade, 24, who also goes by OMB Peezy, of Alabama.
Officer Anthony Grant confirmed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Atlanta officers and the U.S. Marshals arrested Dade on Monday (March 1).
He’s charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, booking documents show.
Dade was taken “without incident” to the Fulton County Jail on a $60,000 bond. If he is released on bond, he must wear an ankle monitor and hand over his passport, the Fulton County Jail confirmed to local news outlets.
