Once again, the Cleveland Clinic is among the best hospitals in the world.

In fact, a recent list ranks it second to only one other hospital: Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Newsweek just released its third-annual ranking of the world’s best hospitals. The list is a partnership between Newsweek and Statista Inc., a global data research firm. In 2021, it “may be our most important ranking yet,” Newsweek reads.

It’s an impressive rank for the Cleveland Clinic, which Newsweek considered among 2,000 other hospitals on the list, spanning 25 countries that “stand out for their consistent excellence, including distinguished physicians, top-notch nursing care and state-of-the-art technology.”

That’s not the only achievement for the Cleveland Clinic, which is celebrating its centennial (its official founding day was February 26, 1921), the Cleveland Clinic pointed out in a press release on Wednesday (March 3).

Several Cleveland Clinic locations made the Newsweek list.

Here are the ones that were included, and how they ranked:

  • No. 2: Cleveland Clinic
  • No. 41: Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital
  • No. 57: Cleveland Clinic Florida-Weston
  • No. 112: Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital
  • No. 137: Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital
  • No. 314: Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital
  • No. 321: Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital
