TIMELINE: When Will You Be Eligible To Receive The COVID Vaccine In AZ?

Currently, only those over the age of 55 are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Arizona. But now, the state Department of Health has released a timeline of when other age groups should be able to receive the shots, reported Fox 10 Phoenix.
The AZDHS website posted a chart giving a tentative timeline of when the state-run vaccination sites will offer the vaccines to other groups. See the chart by clicking here.
According to the chart, here is the tentative timeline:
- MARCH 2021: 55 - 64 years age group
- APRIL 2021: 45 - 54 years age group
- APRIL- MAY 2021: 35 - 44 years age group
- MAY 2021: 16 - 34 years age group
The following frontline and essential workers should be eligible from March 2021 until the summer:
- food and agriculture
- grocery store, convenience store, and carniceria workers
- U.S. Postal Service
- manufacturing workers
- Public transit workers, including buses, Light Rail Uber, Lyft, taxis and rideshare
- state and local government workers
- funeral home workers
Vaccinations will also continue for groups that were previously listed as eligible under Phase 1A and Prioritized Phase 1B. Those previously eligible include:
- healthcare workers and healthcare support occupations
- emergency medical services workers
- long-term care facility staff and residents
- education and childcare workers
- protective services occupations
- adults 65 and older
