MacKenzie Scott Is A Married Woman Again. See Who Her Husband Is

MacKenzie Scott, the ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has tied the knot with a Seattle school teacher, according to Insider.

On Saturday (March 6), Giving Pledge revealed that Scott and Dan Jewett, a science teacher, are a married couple. Jewett signed on to Scott's commitment to give away half her fortune to charity during her lifetime.

"Kind people in my life have been instrumental in making me the person I am today — people who supported me through challenging times, showed me grace when I was at my worst, befriended me despite our differences, and offered me a home when I had none," Jewett wrote in a post. "And now, in a stroke of happy coincidence, I am married to one of the most generous and kind people I know — and joining her in a commitment to pass on an enormous financial wealth to serve others.

Bezos said this about Jewett in a statement to Forbes: "Dan is such a great guy, and I am happy and excited for the both of them."

Scott and Bezos ended their 26-year marriage back in 2019. Their divorce settlement gave Scott millions of shares of Amazon, which is reportedly worth an estimated $38 million. Since the, Scott has been devoting her time and money to philanthropy.

Last year, "Scott had given away nearly $4.2 billion from her fortune to 384 organizations across the US within just four months, ranging from food banks to emergency relief funds," according to Insider.
