More COVID-19 vaccine appointments are available at some spots in the Seattle area, according to sources.
KIRO 7 said the city opened up some slots at testing and vaccination hubs in Rainier Beach and West Seattle. These appointments will be available from March 9 through March 13, reporters said.
People ages 65 and older who live in West, South and Central Seattle will be prioritized, reports say. The Seattle Fire Department will be running these cites and administer Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. Workers will reportedly schedule recipients' second doses, as well.
"City officials said they are focusing on high risk people who are 65 and older because in many neighborhoods throughout Seattle, vaccination rates in that group are lagging behind the rest of King County," KIRO 7 wrote, adding that Central, West and South Seattle have very low vaccination rates.
Both registration forms are available on the Seattle government website. Officials said those who aren't eligible should not register. For Rainier Beach registrations, click here. For West Seattle, click here.
For special needs, language assistance for help registering in general, you can contact the Customer Service Bureau at 206-684-2489 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
