KISS Guitarist Tommy Thayer Connects With Daughter He Never Knew He Had

Longtime KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer never knew he had any children until a year ago, and he says he's thrilled to have been able to meet his daughter, Sierra, last summer.

Thayer didn't offer any details about Sierra's past, except to say that he had been waiting several months for the right moment to publicly share his newfound joy as a father.

Accompanying a photo of himself and a young woman who does indeed bear a resemblance to him, Thayer described the surreal experience.

"This is a big one," he wrote. "I’ve been waiting for the right time to tell everyone. My daughter Sierra and I were blessed to find each other last summer. We’ve already spent a lot of time since getting to know each other and creating a close bond. She’s a beautiful, sincere person and I couldn’t be happier. I think she feels the same about me. The most wonderful thing about miracles is that they sometimes happen."

According to the profile tagged in Thayer's post, Sierra has been in the Navy since 2016.

Thayer, 60, was married from 2006 - 2014 and has been a member of Kiss since 2002. He's spoken in the past at how thankful he is for how his parents supported his career aspirations.

As COVID-19 vaccines are distributed, Kiss is confident that its 'End of the Road' tour will resume as early as this summer.
