As the 2021 Grammy Awards are quickly approaching on Sunday, March 14, Zayn Malik is expressing a few choice words towards "Music's Biggest Night."

Malik released his latest album, Nobody Is Listening, at the top of the year in January 2021. And now, less than a week away from the show, Zayn blasted the Grammys on social media and insinuated that only "shaking hands" and "sending gifts" are what will earn you a nom.

Zayn, who has never received a Grammy nomination for his solo work or while in One Direction, tweeted, "F*** the grammys and everyone associated. Unless you shake hands and send gifts, there’s no nomination considerations. Next year I’ll send you a basket of confectionary."

Nobody Is Listening follows 2018's Icarus Falls and showcases 11 new songs, including singles "Better" and "Vibez," and features from artists including Syd and Devlin. Along with the album, Zayn also released a comic book inspired by Nobody Is Listening, titled Calamity.

Malik isn't the first artist to put the Grammys on blast this year. When the nominations first came out, The Weeknd also took to social media to share his thoughts after, despite all of his success after dropping his After Hours album, he too received no nods. He tweeted, "The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency...," adding, "Collaboratively planning a performance for weeks to not being invited? In my opinion zero nominations = you’re not invited!"

This year's Grammy nominees include Beyoncé (who received a whopping nine nominations), Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Jay-Z and many more. And performing at the 2021 show will be Cardi B, Billie Eilish, Swift, Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, BTS and more, including Malik's former One Direction bandmate Harry Styles, who received three nominations of his own.
