Say "Happy Birthday" to Burgerville! The Pacific Northwest restaurant chain is celebrating its 60th anniversary on Wednesday (March 10).
For one day only, workers will top your seasonal cherry cheesecake shake with a chocolate cheesecake bite, according to KATU. They have other seasonal eats to indulge in, such as truffle shoestring fries, a cherry ice cream sandwich and the Hopyard cheddar burger.
The first Burgerville opened in 1961 on Mill Plain Boulevard in Vancouver. According to Thrillist, George Propstra was inspired by his grandfather's dairy business to open the first location. Since then, 40 more locations sprung up in Oregon and Southwest Washington, reporters said.
"Orewashigonians are many things," the chain wrote on its website. "No single thing defines us, except a strange reluctance to use umbrellas. It’s weird. But what connects us is this community we continue to build together. This fierce passion for this place we live in, this land that literally feeds us."
These restaurants are offering curbside pickup and delivery if you want to try their birthday shake today.
