Brett Young is on the brink of 40.

The country star is counting down the days to his 40th birthday (March 23rd) by challenging fans to join him as he hopes to mark this milestone by changing his “dad bod” into a “hot bod.”

Brett tapped celebrity fitness trainer Don Saladino to guide him, and his fans through the 10-week program called the “BY40” challenge.

In a recent interview with Cody Alan, the “Mercy” singer shared an update.

“In the 14 months of us having Presley and then COVID, I just stopped workout out for the first time in my whole life, and I very quickly gained 25 pounds. That’s a lot. I mean, I am 6’6’’, so I can hide it under sweatshirts, but I gained a lot of weight," shared Brett.

"I knew how to get back into shape, but I needed some extra accountability to know that I would stick with it," says the "In Case You Didn't Know" singer. "So, I teamed up with a trainer named Don Saladino, who has trained all of your favorite superheroes, from Ryan Reynolds to Hugh Jackman to John Krasinski. He is fantastic. So, we teamed up where Don not only helped me get my fat a$$ back in shape but also help the fans, kind of, join us and compete in challenges to be a part of this “BY40” challenge.
