After four less than stellar seasons and no NCAA tournament appearances, Archie Miller is out as the Indiana men's basketball coach, the Indy Star reported.

“As the Director of Athletics, I wanted to wait until the conclusion of the season before evaluating the leadership of our men’s basketball program. In the days following the completion of our season in the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament, I have spent a great deal of time evaluating our recruiting, student-athlete development, leadership development, and playing philosophy and strategy," Indiana University's Scott Dolson said in a statement announcing Miller's firing.

"That review, combined with the on-court results, ultimately led me to conclude that a change in leadership of our program is warranted at this time."

Miller ends his time at IU with a 67-58 record. He went 33-44 in Big Ten play, and the Hoosiers never finished with a conference record above .500 during the last four seasons.

Hoosier fans were frustrated after IU went 12-15 this year. During Indiana's final game on Thursday against Rutgers, fans at Lucas Oil Stadium chanted "Fire Archie," 24/7 Sports reported. Indiana lost 61-50 to Rutgers.

The university will have to buy out Miller's contract for $10.3 million.
