Casa Bonita recently announced they plan to reopen after being closed for a year.
The West Colfax restaurant updated its website's homepage on Tuesday, March 16, according to KDVR.
"Casa Bonita is re-opening soon! Check back here for information as it becomes available" reads the website.
The Mexican restaurant and family entertainment destination has been around for 46 years, first opening in 1974. They are also considered one of the nation's top ten roadside attractions, according to the website.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in the spring of 2020, Casa Bonita had to shut its doors and has remained closed to the public since.
In November 2020, the CEO of Star Buffet Inc., Bob Wheaton, told spoke to BusinessDen about the reopening of Casa Bonita.
"Given the kind of business it is, given the components of the business, it requires a fairly substantial number of people to come through the building," said Wheaton.
Now that the county has loosened some COVID-19 restrictions for businesses, restaurants can operate at 50% capacity.
There is also a SAVE CASA BONITA GoFundMe campaign that was launched this week. It has already raised over $4,000 and is aiming to reach a $10,000 goal.
The restaurant has yet to announced an exact reopening date.
