Cleveland has tons of great, independently-owned restaurants.

This week, you have a reason to try many of them.

Cleveland Independent Restaurant Week To-Go kicks off Thursday (March 18), running through March 31. It’s the best way to try 32 of the best independently-owned restaurants in the area.

Here’s what Cleveland Independents does:

“Cleveland Independents exists to promote dining in independently owned restaurants and to serve the interests of the independent restauranteur. The purpose of the Cleveland Independents is to protect, nurture and promote independent restaurants in northeast Ohio.
“Cleveland Independents member restaurants are locally owned and operated. They share a commitment to their community and a passion for excellence in food and service.”

This year, its restaurant week encourages to-go meals because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but officials are hopeful that dine-in experiences will be back soon:

“This may be the last time we feature takeout menus for Cleveland Restaurant Week. By November, the next time we celebrate this event, we hope to welcome you indoors. By then, we’ll be cheering on the Browns. The pandemic may be behind us. Today all we know is that whether it’s takeout or dine-in, we’re there for you. Be there for us. Show your support. Eat. Drink. Local. To Go.
