It's no secret that gas prices have been on the rise all across the country, and that's no different here in Texas.

CBS DFW reported that gas prices are currently 71 cents higher than they were on this day one year ago.

According to AAA Texas, the current average price per gallon in Texas is $2.64 per gallon.

Sadly, the prices for gas are still expected to continue to rise.

AAA Spokesperson Daniel Armbruster said:

"Texans are paying about 18% more to fill up today, compared to February. Prices are expected to continue climbing through the remainder of March, but potentially in smaller increments."

Dallas drivers are currently paying an average of $2.62 per gallon.

El Paso are paying the highest prices in the state, around $2.97 per gallon, while those in the Sherman-Denison area are paying the least at around $2.53 per gallon.

Though gas prices continue to rise across the country and here in Texas, Texans are actually paying some of the lowest prices in the country. In fact, Texans are paying the 3rd lowest price in the nation.
