PHOTOS: AZ Man Arrested For Allegedly Starting Fires In Two Walmart Stores

A man from Buckeye has been arrested for allegedly setting fire to two area Walmart stores, reported AZ family.
According to Peoria police, the man set fires in Peoria and Glendale Walmart stores this week.
Crews responded to calls about a fire inside the Walmart located near Lake Pleasant Parkway and Deer Valley Road on Wednesday.
The building was evacuated and the fires were put out by fire crews.
Peoria police said that the ran into 34-year-old Rodney Wayne Cox Jr. in the parking lot, where he had accidentally locked himself out of his vehicle.
While officers were speaking with Cox, an employee told police that he matched the description of the man that started the fire at a Glendale Walmart.

After reviewing photos and footage, Cox was arrested.
According to police, Cox spent a few hours in the Peoria Walmart store, set a fire in the pet department, and then stole merchandise during the store evacuation.
Cox was booked on several charges including arson of an occupied structure, endangerment, and shoplifting.
