Police officers in Enid and Oklahoma City started their Saturday by chasing down a doritos truck.
The wild pursuit started in Oklahoma City when the truck's driver stopped at a gas station at Northwest 39th and May Avenue. When the driver went inside the convenience store, Joshua Karpe hopped behind the wheel and took off the the truck, according to police.
“I would love to know the motivation of stealing a truck that’s very, very easy to spot and doesn’t go very fast. What do you think you’re going to do with a truck like that?” Capt. Jeff Spruill of the Oklahoma City Police told KFOR.
Karpe's true motivation is unknown, but with police hot on his tail, he decided to drive the truck to Enid.
During the pursuit the driver sideswiped two sheriff's vehicles, but no one was injured, the Enid News & Eagle reported.
Authorities eventually forced the truck to stop outside of Enid by shooting its tires. Karpe was arrested and taken in the Oklahoma County jail.
