Man Dies After Jumping From Florida Hotel Balcony With Failed Parachute

A man died after authorities said he jumped from a Florida beach hotel balcony with a parachute that didn't deploy, according to WJHG.

Police responded to a call Sunday evening (March 21) at Sunrise Beach Resort in Panama City Beach. According to officers, the the man appeared in his 20s and jumped from the 14th floor. No word on if he was a local resident or out-of-state.

Another strange death happened recently in the Sunshine State, but it was in the Keys. Deputies learned that someone died after they got stuck in a window at a resort in Grassy Key.

More unlikely tragedies also occurred around the globe. For example, a man died after the grave he was digging collapsed in on him in New York. A Russian woman who was bathing died after her iPhone fell in the bath water.
