Intel Announced Massive Expansion In Chandler Creating Thousands Of Jobs

Intel has announced an expansion of its semiconductor manufacturing operations in Chandler, reported AZ Family. Along with the expansion comes thousands of new jobs.
Over "3,000 high-tech, high-paying" jobs will directly come to the Valley, and more than 15,000 additions jobs will be indirectly supported through the expansion.
Construction is expected to begin on the new facilities later this year.
Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke stated:
"Intel's continued expansion of its largest, most advanced manufacturing site in the world exemplifies the presence of innovation in Chandler. A talented workforce, excellent quality of life, proactive planning, and decades of infrastructure investments enable global innovators like Intel to excel in out community."
Since Intel opened in the area, it has grown to be the largest employer in Chandler, with more than 11,000 employees in total. Intel Arizona is the company's second-largest site in the United States as of now.
Governor Doug Ducey expressed his gratitude on Twitter. He wrote:
"Intel announced a $20 billion expansion in Arizona resulting in: 3,000 high-paying tech jobs, 3,000 construction jobs, 15,000 indirect jobs. Thank you, Intel, for choosing Arizona to grow your business."

President and CEO of Arizona Commerce Authority, Sandra Watson, stated:
"Intel's selection of Arizona for this historic investment is a testament to our vibrant and growing technology ecosystem – one powered by our streamlined regulatory environment, low cost of doing business, world-class higher education institutions and highly skilled and talented labor force."
