The Colorado Rockies game on Friday night (April 2) had a very special guest star make their MLB debut.

A fuzzy grey cat ran onto the field and had everyone talking about it.

The feral-looking cat made its way onto several spots on the field throughout the game.

It was first spotted quickly running along the railing behind home plate, which was captured in a video posted to Twitter by a fan.

According to Rockies spokesman Cory Little, Friday night's guest is one of the many feral cats that live inside and around the ballpark located in downtown Denver.

The Coors Field cat was then seen again sprinting across the field and it finally stopped to take a short rest in right field next to Cody Bellinger.

However, the cat's MLB debut was cut short when a Coors Field employee managed to corner it and carry it off the field.

According to 9NEWS, the employee who caught the cat meant to take it outside of the ballpark and let it go but the cat was able to escape before they got outside.
