PHOTOS: Car Crashes Into Home In Brighton

A car crashed into a home in Brighton on Tuesday night (April 6).

The crash occurred at the 200 block of South Main at 8:15 P.M. bringing down a majority of the wall to the second story of the building.

In the photos posted to the Brighton Fire Rescue Twitter account, the inside of the house can clearly be seen, showing what looks like a living room with two chairs and a laundry basket.

Brighton Fire Rescue crews arrived on the scene soon after and the driver was transported to the hospital although the physical condition of the driver was not reported.

According to their tweet, the occupant of the building was home when the crash occurred but was able to get out of the house without any injuries.

When a FOX31 reporter asked if the crash was caused by weather-related issues or driver health issues, the Brighton Police Department responded saying, "At this point in the investigation, we are suspecting the driver experienced a medical emergency.

A building inspector had been called onto the scene to look at the damages, according to Brighton Fire Rescue.

Another serious crash in Brighton shut down Interstate 70 for about an hour on Saturday, April 3.
