A man was arrested after allegedly causing chaos at a hotel in downtown Pueblo, according to the Pueblo Police Department.

On Thursday, April 22, a man allegedly walked into a hotel trying to take snacks. His stay at the hotel quickly turned violent. According to police, the man swung a horseshoe at an employee, damaged property throughout the hotel, and attempted to microwave a fire extinguisher.

Police said they responded to the incident on Thursday at around 4:35 A.M.

The suspect then threw a piece of rebar at the employee and continued into the hotel, taking off his shoes as he walked away.

Police said the suspect then pulled a fire alarm and walked into the kitchen where he managed to damage some property. This is also where he tried to microwave a fire extinguisher.

Other officers were called in to assist with the situation, according to the police.

The suspect was finally located after he allegedly broke a glass door, said police.

The man was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges. Authorities have not yet revealed the identity of the suspect, reports FOX31.

FOX31 also reports that the hotel employee who was hit by the rebar was not seriously injured.
