Twitter Blocks Racial Slur Against Tim Scott

Twitter is blocking a racial slur that was trending describing South Carolina Republican Senator Tim Scott. 

"Uncle Tim" trended after Scott delivered his GOP rebuttal to President Biden's address to a joint session of Congress. 

Scott said the Democratic approach to combating racism is wrong and argued that America is not a racist country. He said "I get called Uncle Tom, and the N-word by by liberals." 

A Twitter spokesperson told Fox News the company is blocking the phrase from appearing in Trends. 

Scott is the lone Black Republican in the Senate.
