Florida Gov Says He'll Pardon Anyone Charged With COVID19 Safety Violations

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says he'll pardon anyone facing charges for COVID-19-related safety violations.

Appearing on Fox News on Thursday, DeSantis said the state clemency board would issue pardons for "any Floridian that may have outstanding infractions for things like masks and social distancing".

He says mask mandates and other guidelines "should be advisory. They should not be punitive".

Last week, DeSantis suspended all local COVID-19 mandates and said he will outlaw such mandates starting July 1st.
