A surveillance video obtained by FOX31 shows a possible kidnapping on Tuesday morning (June 22) in Denver.
The incident was captured on a doorbell camera in the distance. In the video, you can hear what sounds like a woman screaming. Witnesses say they saw a man forced a woman into a white box truck at 7:40 A.M. near Washington Street and Cleveland Place.
The white truck in the video was spotted westbound on Park Avenue West going toward Interstate 25, according to the Denver Police Department.
Later, it was found abandoned in the area of 55th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, reports FOX31.
The video also shows someone throwing items out the back of the truck while the door opens. It only stays open for a moment before another person quickly shuts it. The truck drives off minutes later.
The woman whose doorbell video captured the possible kidnapping wished to remain anonymous but talked with FOX31 about discovering the footage.
“It’s weird to think that something can happen like that outside of your house and you're not aware of it. that’s the thing with the nest cameras you see things you might otherwise not be aware of," she said.
FOX31 shared the footage with the police but investigators do not yet have a description of the woman who may have been kidnapped or of the suspect.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
