Three homes caught fire within an hour of each other in North Highlands, reports CBS13.

Sacramento Metro Fire said their crews responded to three consecutive fires at three different homes early Monday morning (July 5).

The first fire was reported just before 1:00 A.M. on Floral Drive. Then another fire happened just before 1:30 A.M. along Tippwood Way.

The third fire happened just 10 minutes later along Dutch Flat Road.

According to the firefighters who responded to the scenes, there were people inside the homes in each incident.

All of them had to be waken up and evacuated by crews, according to CBS13.

Firefighters say they had to transport someone to the hospital in one of the three incidents.

What caused the three fires is currently under investigation. However, because all three fires occurred on the night of the Fourth of July, it is likely that fireworks could have caused the damage.

According to CBS13, reports of illegal fireworks came flooding from residents across the Sacramento area.
