Rihanna is officially a billionaire and the superstar is all too appreciative of her blessings.
On Thursday (August 5), Forbes reported that Rih's net worth was around the $1.7 billion benchmark, mostly due to her Fenty Beauty brand, and the business honcho has since responded to the viral news. When a paparazzo caught the star out and about, he asked her about the viral news, to which the pop titan offered a simple reaction: "God is good."
News of Rihanna’s financial empire means that she is now the richest female musician in the world and the second richest female entertainer only behind Oprah Winfrey. Let that sink in for a second. Shannon Coyne, the co-founder of consumer products consultancy Bluestock Advisors, emphasized to Forbes that Fenty Beauty was one of the first makeup lines to release a wide variety of inclusive options. "A lot of women felt there were no lines out there that catered to their skin tone. It was light, medium, medium-dark, dark," Coyne told the outlet. "We all know that's not reality. She was one of the first brands that came out and said 'I want to speak to all of those different people.'"
While the majority of her fortune derives from her Fenty Beauty brand, which launched in 2017, the rest of Rih's money comes from her Savage x Fenty lingerie brand, which is estimated to be worth $270 million, as well as her investments as a pop star and actress. "While Barbados-born Rihanna isn’t the only celebrity to capitalize on her social media presence —she has 101 million followers on Instagram and 102.5 million on Twitter—to build a beauty brand, she is the most successful beauty entrepreneur to do so," Forbes reported.
