Prince William & Kate Middleton Share New Photo Of Princess Charlotte

Princess Charlotte is growing up so fast!

Over the weekend, Prince William and Kate Middleton surprised their Instagram followers by sharing a new photo of their only daughter. In the sweet photo, Princess Charlotte can be seen gently cradling a butterfly.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared the new photo of the 6-year-old royal in honor of the "Big Butterfly Count initiative" over in the United Kingdom. In their caption, the Cambridges explained that Butterfly Conservative is "encouraging us all to count these incredible creatures because not only are they beautiful creatures to be around but they are also extremely important. Butterflies are vital parts of the ecosystem as both pollinators and components of the food chain."

William and Kate are avid supporters of many conservation initiatives. The Duke of Cambridge will even be co-authoring an upcoming book titled Earthshot: How to Save Our Planet. The book will tackle the environmental crisis, as well as solutions for the many devastating effects of climate change. “We have 10 years to turn the tide on the environmental crisis, but we need the world’s best solutions and one shared goal — to save our planet,” a description of the book reads. Earthshot: How to Save Our Planet is also being described as "the first definitive book about how these goals can tackle the environmental crisis.”
