This Is The Best Regional Fast Food Chain In Alabama

A local favorite has been named as the best regional fast food chain in Alabama.
Milo's Burger Shop was included among Mashed's list of the best regional fast food chains in every state, which was published on Wednesday (August 4).
The fast food restaurant was started by Milo Carlton, a former U.S. Army mess cook, in 1946 and currently has locations throughout the state of Alabama. Others may know the Milo's brand for its famous sweet tea, which is sold in grocery stores outside of the Yellowhammer State.
"AL.com conducted a survey of the state's favorite fast food chain, and the 2021 winner was Milo's Hamburgers," Mashed's Gene Gerrard writes. "Practically all of Milo's 17 stores are in Alabama. Milo Carlton opened his first burger shop in 1946 in Birmingham and experimented on locals to perfect his special sauce, which is still one of the five sauces served today.
"The menu admittedly isn't extensive but Milo's sauce gets rave reviews. There are plenty of classic and tasty fast food items, and the chain's Mexi Fries is a glorious creation with bacon, jalapenos, and queso. Milo's sweet tea is also widely admired."
