A newly-announced stop on the Eagles' 2021 'Hotel California' tour will require attendees to provide proof that they are fully-vaccinated before being admitted to the venue.

The Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, made the announcement for the November 5 concert, along with other details via its official website.

"This is a decision taken by the band supported by the Climate Pledge Arena team to ensure they, along with fans and staff, feel safe," reads a statement on the arena's website. "All documentation needs to be directly from the healthcare provider that performed the vaccination, and guests must display proof on their smartphone or present a physical copy."

The show is currently the only concert on Climate Pledge Arena's schedule to require vaccination for guests. It is at least the second venue on the Eagles' upcoming tour that will require guests to be fully-vaccinated (at least two weeks removed from the final vaccine dose).

A decision regarding whether guests must wear masks inside the arena will be made at a later date, per local guidelines. Children not eligible for vaccination will be allowed to attend if they can provide proof of a negative coronavirus test within 48 hours of the concert.

Madison Square Garden in New York City, where the 'Hotel California' tour will kick off with a two-night stand, August 22 and 24, also requires guests to provide proof of vaccination before entering. In June, The Garden was host to the Foo Fighters' return to New York, where all fans were required to provide proof of vaccination at the gates.

Live Nation announced this week that it would allow artists to require vaccination at concerts.

Kiss bassist Gene Simmons recently voiced his support for vaccine mandates, but expressed uncertainty whether Kiss could require it without running afoul of state and local laws.
