All of the evacuation orders for Salt Lake and Summit Counties have been lifted. This is due to a ran storm that moved through the area and doused the Parleys Canyon Fire, reported 2 KUTV.

Residents all across the area, including Lamb's Canyon, Pinebrook, Summit Park, and Timberline were all back in their homes at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

Previously, the residents who were evacuated were told they would be away from their homes until at least Thursday night.

One evacuee, Kurosh Motaghed, told 2 KUTV, "Thank God, it will be good to be back home tonight. It's a really big relief."

According to fire crews, the fire soaked the fire for about a hour. Fire Information Officer Nick Howell said that the rain brought along concerns of landslides as well. Howell said, " So far we've had no reports of flash flooding, but we'll see what tonight and tomorrow bring."

Fire maps show that this particular fire has burned over 541 acres and it's currently 40 percent contained.

Thankfully, more rain is expected to fall along the Wasatch front on Wednesday. Howell said, "It might put the fire out in some area, but in the heavily timbered area, it's going to require some more work."

According to The Salt Lake Tribune reported, the Parleys Canyon Fire was started by a vehicle. A fire investigator found pieced of a broken catalytic converter on the side of the road.
