Massachusetts' signature food shouldn't come to a surprise to anyone.
Stacker.com released its list of the signature foods for all 50 states, which included New England Clam Chowder as Massachusetts' signature dish.
As with sports, clam chowder -- or as its otherwise known as "chowda" -- is part of a heated northeast rivalry between the New England are and New York, with the New England version providing a much creamier taste.
"Nothing really rivals New England clam chowder as the signature dish of Massachusetts," Stacker's Ellen Dewitt writes. "The best chowder is creamy, a bit salty, and heaped with corn, celery, and clams fresh from the bay. It’s topped with chives and served with oyster crackers."
