Britney Spears Reunited With Dogs After Housekeeper Took Them

Britney Spears was reunited with her dogs after a housekeeper took them to the vet, claiming the dogs were “near death.” 

According to TMZ, the “Toxic” singer was first separated from her pups earlier this month after the dog sitter and housekeeper believed the dogs needed serious medical attention. The housekeeper reportedly took the two dogs to the vet to be examined, but they were not immediately returned to the singer’s care after the dog sitter didn’t think they were safe at Britney’s house.

The housekeeper reportedly became alarmed after seeing the dogs –– who have known digestive problems –– get fed table scraps instead of their specialized dog food. 

A dispute between Britney and the housekeeper over the dogs and photos led to a criminal investigation after the housekeeper said the pop star struck her arm while grabbing for a cellphone with photos of the dogs showing how sick they were. Britney believed the housekeeper was sending the photos to her father, Jamie Spears, who has been the center of a bitter conservatorship battle. 

Sources told the outlet that the housekeeper is no longer working for Britney, but the dog sitter still does. 

The dogs were returned to the singer Friday (August 20) two weeks after staying with the dog sitter.
