Lizzo Swears By Matthew McConaughey’s Hygiene Regime

Lizzo entered the celebrity hygiene discussion with a new type of regime –– no deodorant. 

The “Rumors” singer said she stopped wearing deodorant after learning that Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey skips it too, and she swears by it. 

“Ok… I’m w him on this one. I stopped using deodorant and I smell BETTER,” the flute player revealed on her Instagram stories last week, according to PageSix. 

McConaughey has long skipped antiperspirant, 35 years to be exact. The Lincoln Lawyer actor told People in 2005 that he hadn’t “worn deodorant in 20 years.” 

McConaughey’s Tropic Thunder co-star Yvette Nicole Brown reportedly said the 51-year-old’s natural scent is actually quite pleasant. 

“He smells like granola and good living. He has a sweet, sweet scent,” Brown said. “That is just him, and it’s not musty or crazy.”

While Lizzo and McConaughey skip out on deodorant, other celebrities have recently admitted to skipping daily bathing altogether. Ashton Kutcher and wife Mila Kunis shared they only bathe their kids only when the dirt is visible. 

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard co-signed the regime, though stars like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jason Mamoa, and Cardi B frowned upon the admissions.
