Meet The Michigan Athletes Competing In The Tokyo Paralympics Games

The Tokyo Paralympics Games have begun and seven Michigan athletes will be representing Team USA.

Seven of the Michigan athletes will be participating in seven of 22 Paralympic events.

  • Basketball (Men and Women's)
  • Goalball
  • Taekwando
  • Tennis
  • Track and Field

According to the official Team USA website, here are Michigan's Paralympic athletes:

Men's Basketball:

Michael Paye

  • Age: 38

Matt Scott

  • Hometown: Detroit, Michigan
  • Age: 36

Women's Basketball:

Darlene Hunter

  • Hometown: Commerce, Michigan
  • Age: 39

Goalball:

John Kusku

  • Hometown: Commerce Township, Michigan
  • Age: 37

Taekwando:

Evan Medell

  • Hometown: Lake Shore, Michigan
  • Age: 24

Tennis:

Bryan Barten

  • Hometown: Hart, Michigan
  • Age: 48

Track and Field:

Scot Severn

  • Hometown: Cara, Michigan
